Love Tim Burton. Love his movies. Love Wonderland.
I had to make my own version of Alice , and I have to say:
I absolutely love this.
What do you think?
I also want to say that JUST in case you think I was insane for putting the green with the purple dress, this is the color scheme designer I used to find the complementary of the purple:
The more I stare at this, the more moved I am by it. My first thought was what an interesting coloring choice (making Alice a red head, the general discordance of the purple, blue and lime of her clothes)--but that it what makes it unique and what I really dig about it. You've made her your own, while still making it apparent (with the big blue bow, the book in her hands) just who this Alice is. I love the look on her face- I get the feeling this is a slightly older Alice, and I want to know just what she is thinking in this! I have to say my absolute favorite part of this piece though, is the background. At first I just saw the tornado of color, but then when I noticed it was actually a pattern that had become warped I fell in love with it. In a nutshell: this is brilliant, and I love it.
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. I love Alice, and your technique is amazing--the background it awesome, and I feel as if I'm getting sucked into wonderland with her
haha that is how i feel like when I look at it actually! oh and I love your critique you wrote ^///^ I thank you so much for such an amazing critique! ^o^
